Stuffed Mushrooms with an Italian Twist

12 large fresh mushrooms

1 cup fine dry bread crumbs

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp melted butter

1 clove garlic

1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 cup dry red wine

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove stems from the mushrooms

and finely chop them up. Set the caps aside. Melt butter and olive oil over

medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cook until the onion is soft.

Add in the chopped mushroom stems, cook 3-4 minutes, add the bread crumbs,

Italian seasonings, salt and pepper, and mix well. Stuff the daps with the mixture

using all the stuffing. Place in a greased baking dish and pour the wine over

the mushrooms. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until mushroom caps are tender,

but still hold their shape.
