Sausage Cheese Balls
2 (1 lb) packages uncooked fresh sausage
16 oz sharp cheddar cheese ( about 4 cups shredded)
1 1/2 cups biscuit mix
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Shred cheese and mix all ingredients.
Form into 1 inch balls. Bake 15 minutes on ungreased baking sheet until
golden brown. Makes about 6 dozen.
These can be frozen uncooked.
For a firmer texture, add an extra 3 cups of biscuit mix and and extra
2 cups of shredded cheese to the ingredients listed above.
