Mom's No Fail Pie Crust

 

3 cups flour

1 1/2 cups shortening

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 egg

5 tbsp cold water

1 tbsp vinegar

Using a pastry cutter, blend flour, shortening and salt.

Slightly beat together eggt, water and vinegar.

Add to the flour and shortening mixtures.

Mix well.

Add pie filling and bake, following directions for a two crust pie.
