Herbed Asparagus

1 lb fresh asparagus

1 1/2 tbsp butter or margarine

2 tsp grated parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp dried tarragon

Trim ends of asparagus and steam until crisp tender. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well.

Toss with cooked asparagus. Serve hot with salt and pepper to taste.

Frozen asparagus spears or pieces can be substituted for fresh,
cooked according to package directions.

Reduce the fat content in this recipe by replacing the margarine with a low or no fat substitute.
