George's One Pot Chicken and Rice

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halved

1 1/2 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped green pepper

6-8 garlic cloves, chopped

1 cup white wine

2 tbsp oregano

2 bay leaves

2 cups chopped tomatoes

1 box frozen peas

2 cups long grain rice

4 cups reduced salt chicken broth

In a large oven ready pan, simmer onion, green pepper and garlic in white wine, until limp.

Add rest of ingredients except peas. Bake 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes,

or until liquid is almost gone and rice is nice and fluffy. Mix in peas at the last minute

Note. This recipe is good using brown rice.
