Frosted Pumpkin Pecan Cookies

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup canned pumpkin

1 egg

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

2 cups chopped pecans

Frosting (recipe below)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix brown sugar, butter and shortening in a large bowl.

Stir in pumpkin and egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir in pecans.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet; flatten

slightly. Bake 12-15 minutes or until no indentation remains when touched lightly in the

center. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool completely. Prepare frosting and spread each cookie

with about 1 teaspoon. Makes about 60 cookies.

FROSTING

3 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup butter, softened

3-4 tbsp milk

1/4 tsp cinnamon

Mix all ingredients until smooth and of desired consistency.
