Caramel French Toast

 

One loaf of French bread.

1 cup milk.

3 eggs

1/2f cup softened the butter.

2/3 cup brown sugar.

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

Cut bread into one to 1/2" slices. Combine milk and eggs and pour into a jelly roll pan.

Place bread slices and pan, saturate them, then turn the slices over, making sure the

bread absorbs all the milk.

While the bread is soaking, butter another jelly roll pan. Combine brown sugar and

cinnamon and sprinkle over buffered surface. Place soaked bread in the second, prepared pan

and bake for 25 minutes at 350. You can make this ahead of time and cover

with foil and refrigerant overnight or freeze.

Serve with jam, syrup, sour cream, applesauce.
