Amaretto Overnight French Toast

 

1/3 cup amaretto

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup butter

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

12 slices thick date old bread

1/4 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

6 eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup almond slices

Lightly grease, a 13 x 9 baking dish. Bring Amaretto, brown sugar, butter,

and corn syrup to a boil. Remove from heat and pour into baking dish.

Top with six slices of bread . Sprinkle with combined white sugar, cinnamon,

and almonds place remaining bread over that. Beat: eggs, milk, and vanilla together.

Pour over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350° bake covered

for 15 minutes. Remove cover and finish baking for 10 more minutes or until

will pass if he isa golden brown. Flip out onto a serving dish and garnish with powdered sugar or whip cream
